A display of scale plastic models is housed in a replica hut of which many were inexistence in airfields at Malta. Responsible for display is the Society for Scale Modellers (SSM). The Society, established in 1981, takes part in the International Plastic Modellers Society exhibition, which is held in Telford, U.K. The SSM members have won a number of major honours with their exhibits, some of which are on display in the Museum. The models exhibited are all related to the Mediterranean theatre which besides Malta includes Sicily and North Africa.
