| Hawker Hurricane MkIIA Z3055 |

| Built by Hawker Aircraft at Kingston sometime between 14th January 1941 and 28th July 1941 in a batch of 49 aircraft with serials Z3050 and Z3099, fitted with Merlin XX engines. Z3055 was constructed to the 5th production batch of 1,000 aircraft. This is currently the main project at hand. |

| Pride of place in the Museum's hangar goes to Supermarine Spitfire MK IX. This was the first aircraft restored by the Museum's volunteers way back in 1993. |

| The next long term restoration project to be undertaken by the museum is that Swordfish HS491, which had been purchased in skelatal form by the Foundation from Mr Bob Spence of Canada. |

| Le Pou du Ciel |

| When Bleriot made the first epic flight across the English Channel in 1909 few realised the tremendous significance of that feat. Twenty six years later, another French pioneer, Henri Mignet, crossed the Channel in his Pou du Ciel (Flying Flea) to spread his gospel of ultra-light planes amongst the air-minded Englishmen. |

| C-47 Skytrain 43-15762 |

| Skytrain built as 43-15762 and delivered to the US Army Air Force on 6 May, 1944, being assigned to the Alaskan Division of the US Air Transport Command on 8 May. This aircraft was rescued from the fire dump at the Hal Far International Fire & Safety School by the National Tourism Organisation of Malta. |

| Originally built for the USAF given construction number AF-888 in 1953 as a C-45H with serial 52-10958, it ended up in the early 1960s on the US civil register as N8176H. This aircraft was purchased by the National Tourism Organisation of Malta for eventual restoration and display at the Aviation Museum. |
